AmandaIt all began with brussel sprouts.
It was COVID and I found myself spending more time in the kitchen.
I really, really wanted my brussels sprouts to be both crispy and sweet. And creamy.
I kept adding more coconut aminos (for the sweetness) but then it wasn’t crispy. Then I increased the frying time (to get the crispiness). I added a ton of butter, for the creaminess and flavor, but that also decreased the crispiness. After a while, I realized I was tweaking my recipe but in a completely manual way — writing in the margins, trying to remember which approach worked best — when I thought: why isn’t there an app for this?
So I built one.
I’m a software engineer with nearly two decades of experience who was recently unemployed (the AI revolution!) so my interests fantastically converged: I could get the app I wanted by building it, I could learn AI and other technologies, and I could return to the kitchen better equipped for all future culinary adventures!
Let the tweaking begin!
